It does not say imported by anyone on it so is it a pre ban weapon? On the Left side it says, Model of the 1911A1 Norinco 45 AUTOMATIC. On the lower, Made in China by Norinco The right side has nothing on the slide and the serial # down below 515xxx On the bottom in front of the trigger guard it says IAC BILLERICA, MA It has the standard 45 military grips and a lanyard ring on the bottom.

Thanks for the links Thirties. I had read through a bunch of them.Seems like all of them I read had the markings on the side and not under the frame. Now I understand. I don't plan on keeping the weapon but wanted to know what it was so I can pass on the info when I sell it or at least know what it is so I am not totally taken.I have a motorcycle I need to repair here in Tennessee. Need another one? Here are some pics of it anyway to share them. I have blocked the last two serial numbers in the first pic.

A friend of mine said he would just hold it for me if I needed some cash to get the scooter repaired and give it back to me with something for his trouble. Good feelings and thoughts of those days even though it was a while back. Probably a good rule not being able to post in the for sale section for 30 days after joining or I would of posted it and sold it already.
